Do you hear it?
as if something buried alive
is trying desperately to survive.
Do you see it?
Common sense and decency,
respect, trust, humility –
are all trying to find their way to light.
They’ve been buried for so long
I’m afraid all hope is gone.

try to pull them from their grave.
I’ll do my very best to set them free.

In pensive mood, I reminisce –
apply a filter, so to speak,

has already happened,
…or has it?
My response to today’s one-word prompt: Filter

Weekly Photo Challenge – Graceful
A sunset dinner at Les Bourgeois Winery’s Blufftop Bistro was filled with ambience at its finest – both inside and out. This charming restaurant in Rocheport, MO sits on a hill overlooking the banks of the Missouri river. What a beautiful evening!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Ambience

My response to today’s one-word prompt: Uneven
Clark, Henry, Shakespeare, George, Beethoven, Bruckner and Mozart! Good names, don’t you think?

My response to today’s one-word prompt: Gone
When the artwork is gone from the refrigerator door
When drips and crumbs don’t adorn the kitchen floor
When little hands don’t make a mess anymore
…then where have the children gone?
