It is with much satisfaction that a few yards from my back door, I can cross this bridge whenever I want to – morning, noon or night; rain, shine or snow. I do not take for granted the freedom I have which allows me to enjoy nature anytime the mood strikes me, which happens almost every day, season after season, year after year.

Jellyfish fascinate me! These unusual creatures have drifted along with ocean currents for millions of years, even before dinosaurs roamed the Earth. And despite their name, jellyfish aren’t really fish—they’re invertebrates (animals with no backbones). They have a very short life span; usually less than a year in the wild, although aquarium jellyfish that are carefully tended might live twice that long.

There’s very little in life more precious than seeing your family smile!
That’s why this collage of my family doing just that, is so special.

In the village of Carrbridge, Scotland is this old pack-horse bridge. It was built in 1717 and has been so severely damaged over the years that it is now to unstable to cross. There is currently no access to the stone arched bridge; it can only be viewed from a distance. This year marks the 300th anniversary of this famous local landmark.
