I find something rather inspiring about an old weathered object or structure. Its presence alone represents the strength to overcome that which seeks to destroy it — time.

Here on the prairies there are so many of these weathered structures. I’m so glad that people have become interested in repurposing the fine old planks to make doors, coffee tables, headboards….

The battle that occurred at Culloden in 1746 is heartbreaking, but it was a fascinating place to visit!
