I find something rather inspiring about an old weathered object or structure. Its presence alone represents the strength to overcome that which seeks to destroy it — time.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Weathered
Photo taken at Leault Farm, somewhere between Culloden and Carrbridge in Scotland.
Great shot. Also: look down; right beside my name; another photo of age-weathering.

Here on the prairies there are so many of these weathered structures. I’m so glad that people have become interested in repurposing the fine old planks to make doors, coffee tables, headboards….

Such a beautiful photograph of the real beauty that time can craft. Both the old wooden structure and the landscape 🙂

Yes, our earthly landscape is beautifully weathered, isn’t it?

So, I have never thought of an older building in that way exactly, interesting take.

We all see things differently – and that’s a good thing. Well, most of the time anyway! 🙂

Great shot. I have many memories of Culloden. On a gray day it seems so sad.

The battle that occurred at Culloden in 1746 is heartbreaking, but it was a fascinating place to visit!

Battlegrounds here in Texas don’t have the same haunting feel but the Alamo really resonates.
