My favorite place to be, especially this time of year, is the deck overlooking my back yard. For the next month, the saturation of colors will intensify almost daily until Spring gives way to a more consistent Summer green. It is my happy place again in the Fall when I watch the dense green trees turn orange and gold on their way to Winter gray. Yes, my favorite place to be is right outside my back door!

I like it best before the trees get so big you can no longer see the creek or the bridge. But even when I can’t SEE the creek, I can still hear it!
