It’s been a few years since we’ve had a good snow–the kind of snow that makes the ordinary seem extraordinary.
Ten inches of vibrant snow can highlight intricate details.
It can cover the bumps and the ruts,
and the man-made contributions to an otherwise perfect landscape.
I like to be the first one out in a snow like this,
to see impermanent traces of nature on the pristine environment.
We finally had snow enough for a picture-perfect day!
Picture perfect, indeed! Thanks for sharing. ❤

The second photo looks like a healthy crop of white mushrooms or giant gumdrops – can’t decide which. Beautiful!

Thanks, Dave! They are actually remnants of last summer’s coneflowers! I actually like them better covered in snow than when they’re in bloom.

I agree with Dave–that second photo is so cute! I’m expecting the gnomes to come out with their little shovels and brooms to clean up.

So beautiful to look at, and being in Florida where it hit 80 degrees today 😊

We hit 60 degrees the day before it snowed! Take care!

Snow makes winter pretty, for sure. A good chunk of ours melted, but we are getting some more. Happy Monday. Allan

I love snow if I don’t have to drive in it – walking suits me just fine!
