Just a Little Story

It started out as an ordinary walk on a day the calendar said was barely Spring, but it was anything but ordinary.

I found myself surrounded by delightful yellow daffodils and a sky of such delicate blue, it belonged in a baby’s room.

At the creek, slimy green moss designed images in abstract on the rocky bed, and there were signs that inquisitive children had connected with nature and left their mark.

The hearty trees overhead were prolific with beautiful, wispy blooms that never seem to last long enough.

A little voice in my head insisted I look up, and there it was: a simple reminder of who had created it all!

For Ragtag Daily Prompt: Raconteur

RDP invites us to tell a story with an essay, poem and/or photos to demonstrate the word “raconteur”, so this is my “story”. The word means somebody who is skilled at telling stories or anecdotes in an entertaining way.

  1. Love the cross and the pictures. Yes, I have to agree that I go for walks and suddenly I will stop and see such beauty. It is important to notice as it helps us realize who we truly are.

    • Thank you, Gwen. By the way, when I comment on your posts, I’m not sure you ever see it. I think I’m doing something wrong, but I love everything you write. You are very talented!

  2. I read all your comments! And love them all! But sometimes when I go to reply, the back of your comment page is covered by a form that covers the whole space and leaves no place to comment. This isn’t just you, either, there’s quite a few like this. But I do love your blogs and the lovely pictures that come with them, so, even if you don’t get a response, you’ll now know that I’m trying to make contact to tell you just how much I love your blogs.

    • Thanks for letting me know! I had no idea there was a problem leaving comments on my blog. I have trouble with yours and others at times as well. I think it’s a Word Press issue! I’ll look into it and see if I can correct the problem.
