Don’t Judge Me, I Won’t Judge You

How thankful

I am

that I got to know you

long before

I heard

all the things

they said about you.

It just

goes to show

how wrong they can be,

for humble

I am

 you became friends with me.

To judge

someone else

before you give them a chance

is like

without music,

trying to learn how to dance.

We need

to look

at a person without bias

and let

them prove

what it is they hold righteous.

For until

we do

how, in fact, can we know

what’s inside

their heart

if we don’t let it show?
