According to our weatherman, fall arrives tonight at 8:06, and with that, my part of the world begins a slow and beautiful transformation.
Soon, trees will trade summer green for various shades of burgundy, red, orange, and golden yellow. The air will sharpen, the light will soften, and nature will put on one of its finest displays.
The changing seasons are a mimic of life itself. Spring brings new beginnings, summer is full of growth, autumn shows us that change can be beautiful, and winter quietly reminds us that nothing lasts forever.

Perhaps that’s why I love photographing fall. Each picture feels like a small rescue mission. After all, someone has to save these colors before they disappear! And each little piece of the season saved, will help me through the long gray days of winter.
So let fall come. I’ll be here chasing colors, gathering moments, and holding on to its beauty before it simply fades away.

And Winter, please don’t come too soon!
Photos are from Autumn’s past. This year’s colors haven’t arrived (and been saved) yet!

Wonderful photographs, perfectly capturing the colors of fall. You are not only saving the season but also celebrating it. Beautifully written prose to go with them, too!
