That sky is sure an intense blue! Poor skeleton tree. I wonder what killed it?

Might have been lightning… the trees around it didn’t look diseased or anything. ☹

And it still has a certain beauty even in skeletal form.

sometimes I like to see these dead trees in the landscape. They are natural sculptures against the blue sky. Very nice.

Thank you. Yes, they can be an interesting focal point in an otherwise monotonous landscape.

I think there is beauty in the skeletal outlines of dead trees. Your picture here proves my point in buckets …. the brilliant blue sky, so intensely reminding us of life juxtaposes sensationally with the stark lifeless branches waiting for that gust of wind to far to lay them down to become home to other lifeforms. Loved this, Grammy – just loved it!

I agree! I particularly love the remarkable stubbornness of this tree. Standing tall despite its apparent lifeless body, it refuses to lay down. Strong-willed – just like many people I know! Thank you, Osyth.
