Pull up a seat in nature
where sunlight spills like gold
and time forgets its hurry
as quiet thoughts unfold.
The brook laughs over pebbles
beneath the moss-draped trees.
The wind hums low and mumbles
in the honey-scented breeze.
Pull up a seat in nature
let simple wonders stay
for joy is small and endless
when you watch the critters play.

Jekyll Island is a 3.5 hour drive from our house. It’s on our bucket list and we’ll bring our bikes for leisurely rides. Now I’ll add “sit on a bench and read calming poetry” as well 🙂
