Aerial photos are almost always very interesting. This one is spectacular!
I took some several years ago from a hot-air balloon. That height range, esp those from just above treetop level, renders some very interesting shots.

I wonder whether that was landing or taking off. I got that vague “perhaps I’m not going to die on this flight'” feel so I’m guessing it was landing. ๐
That patchwork of fields and the sprues of cloud make me think that you might have been visiting Britain or Ireland …. wherever it was it is a magnificent shot so redolent of the amazing feat of actually managing to be in the air ….
We were returning from a trip to London. As we approached our local airport (Kansas City), the clouds seemed to open – revealing the beauty we have right here at home.
