My grandkids just got a new puppy! They are learning that puppies must be taken out repeatedly – even in the middle of a heat wave. It may be 100 degrees outside, but being constantly aware of his needs is vital to success at this stage of his training. It gives a whole new meaning to “the Dog Days of Summer”!

So adorable! Getting a new puppy is a very exciting time. But regardless of the circumstances of the new arrival, the first month with your puppy is a month of changes for everyone involved.
