Snowscapes

IMG_9456

As with much of the United States, the ground where I live is covered in several inches of snow. Not only that, but our temperatures are forecasted to be sub-zero over the next week or more. It is unusual for extreme cold to last that long in a typical winter here. Knowing the frigid weather was coming, I jumped at the chance to walk in the snow while it was a warm 30 degrees! Taking a walk in the beauty of fresh snow is one of my favorite things to do. Of course, taking photos along the way is a must. Here are a few from my recent snowscape adventure.

  1. Simply beautiful. We have similar snow, in fact you could have been walking through my yard. I thought about taking the camera out, but opted to stay inside where it’s warm, so I’m glad you shared your images!

  2. I was visiting Colorado when you took these photos. Not only did we also have sub-zero temps most hours of the day, but the snow was not nearly as picturesque and undisturbed as what you show here. Snow in a more urban setting is not nearly as pristine of a look!

  3. These are such beautiful snow and winter photos! After all, there’s nothing like watching snow floating to the ground and the white wonder it leaves behind, and at the same time, it sure does make you appreciate the warmth and blooms that follow it with the advent of spring. It only snowed briefly in Sligo, just enough to cover the ground, but we enjoyed it immensely and even managed to make a little snowman. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
