Frank A. Clark, a prolific American author, speaker, and motivational expert, said “real generosity is doing something nice for someone who will never find out.” That is exactly what someone did for the hundreds of us who walk the trail system in Lenexa, Kansas. 12,000 daffodils are now in bloom along the trail where I walk nearly everyday, thanks to the kind donation of bulbs by a resident who remains anonymous to the public that so enjoys them.
The city’s Parks and Recreation Department planted the donated bulbs last year. The donor and his wife are said to frequently walk the trail. I hope they are pleased and proud of the delightful result of their gift.
I am extremely grateful for the giver’s generosity, which has surely brightened the fleeting days of Spring for all who are fortunate to see the cheerful and glorious daffodils.
Thank you, whoever you are!

Beautiful! Rock Creek Parkway, in Washington, DC, is lined by a sea of daffodils every spring. Lovely!

Such a lovely story! Such a lovely result of their generosity. In the face of all the horror stories we’re reading just now, this is so what we need.

Who doesn’t smile at a path lined with flowers? The world could certainly use more kindness, and the smiles it creates. Thanks, Gwen!

It’s wonderful when people do something others will enjoy. I am among the many who enjoy the flowers! Have a good day, Aiva!

Is it possible to have too many flowers? I don’t think so.
