This Is Us

DSC03330a

That day on the ship,

do you remember?

We watched the sun swallow a sailboat

on the horizon.

We held on tight to the moment,

positive it was worth remembering.

Perhaps, in the absence of grounded reality,

what we really saw was us ~

drifting along

growing old

like a lost wave searching for shore.

like a lost wave searching for shore – such a wonderful poem, Linda, accompnied by a beautiful phot. Memories are always so special. Sometimes we laugh by remembering the days we cried, and sometimes we cry by remembering the days we laughed. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

  3. Beautiful words. The photo reminds me of several serigraphs we bought in the early years of our marriage, by an artist named Keith Reynolds. He used similarly soft colors, portraying solitary boats against dramatic backdrops of water.
