While we were traveling, my corner of Kansas officially ended its drought with two full weeks of gray skies, constant rain, and a pair of tornadoes uncomfortably close to home. Meanwhile, in Spain? Total perfection, and not just the weather! Spain is this incredible mix of coastline, mountains, rolling plains, vibrant cities, and villages so charming they don’t seem real. The culture, architecture, history, traditions, and cuisine are rich and uniquely Spanish. Where Kansas stretches out in seas of wheat, Spain unfolds in silvery olive groves, with pockets of almond trees and vineyards tucked among them. And the best part? Eighteen of the friendliest travel companions imaginable, along with a tour guide who was both knowledgeable and entertaining.
