“Go with the flow

Slow down and meander

Be thoughtful of those downstream

Go around the obstacles

Immerse yourself in nature

Stay current

The beauty is in the journey!”

“Chaos”

The world is drenched in panic and fear

like a ship on a stormy sea

desperately trying to stay afloat

amid wave after wave of debris

Tread with care through the turbulent ocean

Drown not in the depths of despair

The sun will shine on calmer waters

Smooth sailing soon will prevail

How did they do it? How did they build the great Gothic cathedrals of Europe without the help of modern-day tools and equipment? In Medieval times, it was a complex process involving an assembly line of common laborers, experienced builders and skilled craftsmen; materials such as stone, iron and wood; experimentation and innovation; and time! Lots and lots of time—in some cases, hundreds and hundreds of years!

The Cologne Cathedral in Germany is an impressive architectural masterpiece. As the third tallest church in the world, it is described by the UNESCO organization as an “exceptional work of human creative genius”.

Red is an emotional color. It means love, hate and many things in-between. It awakens passion, excitement and our will to survive. It is energizing! Red can also make an old stone structure come to life when used as an accent color on a door or a window. It encourages the passer-by to take notice and bids them to come inside… so we did!

There is a magic to the landscape of Scotland. The shadows seem to snuggle in the hills, the sun knows just where to shine, and colors tend to find their most unique shade of perfection. Like Walt Whitman said ~ “I swear to you, there are divine things more beautiful than words can tell”. To me, Scotland is one of those divine things – indescribable!
