Shared Spaces

As urban sprawl continues, people and wildlife are learning to coexist. This bobcat, for example, has decided that my front porch is just as suitable for a nap as the wooded area in my backyard. He is learning to conform to concrete and non-native plants, just as I am learning to conform to his presence in my space.

For Thursday’s Ragtag Daily Prompt: Conform

  1. That is so wonderful Linda. What a beautiful animal to grace your house. I wonder if it is a spirit animal that has come to give you peace in solitude.

I guess you have to be vigilant when going outside but if it is like the animals around my place, they tend to run rather than confront.

Thanks for joining in RDP 😀

  2. Wow, this is so cool! Bobcats are beautiful animals for those who are lucky enough to spot one, but you have one visiting your garden -that’s so fascinating. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

  3. In the urban area near us, bobcats and coyotes have moved in because the prey is so abundant – pets and wild rabbits. The wild rabbits moved in because the food is so abundant – people’s gardens. I live in a rural area and we do not have a lot of rabbits or coyotes and no bobcats! The food chain out here does not suit any of them!
